OUR MISSION
The insatiable global demand for natural resources is having a detrimental impact on our planet and exacerbating the prevailing global climate crisis. It has also stimulated significant investment in resource efficiency.
Resource efficiency means using the planet’s limited natural resources in a sustainable manner while minimising impacts on the environment. It allows humankind to create more with less and to deliver greater value with less input. It is part of the Europe 2020 Strategy, the EU’s growth strategy for a smart, inclusive and sustainable economy. It supports the shift towards sustainable growth via a resource-efficient, low-carbon economy.
ExoTechnologies are focused on accelerating high-potential and pioneering resource efficiency projects that are capable of accelerating the green transition to a circular economy.

OUR LEADERSHIP TEAM

Shane Mugan, an award-winning business leader, venture capitalist and 28 year finance veteran with an impressive blend of strategy, executive leadership and commercial experience spanning five different industries and corporate cultures across emerging and mature markets. Known for his focus on achieving results, delivering transformative growth and scaling businesses by prioritising the customer value proposition, and fostering an empowering and inclusive culture established on strong ethical values.

Michael J. Silah served as a Rear Admiral (RADM) in The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Commissioned Corps and the service’s 11th Director. As Director, RADM Silah led NOAA’s research fleet, aircraft, and diving program. He also established NOAA’s uncrewed systems program and was responsible for the safety of NOAA’s small boats. RADM Silah retired on April 1, 2021, after 28 years of service in the United States Navy and NOAA.

Jeroen Wats, a multiple offshore and ocean yacht racing winner and passionate environmentalist started a state-of-the-art high performance yacht building company resulting in an impressive proven award and regatta winning track record worldwide. With vast experience in high tech, efficient yacht design and composites, Jeroen turned his eye to the environment because he witnessed first-hand how polluting the industry is, and decided to do something about it.
INVESTMENTS
In 2018, ExoTechnologies launched its first two ESG investment funds to finance high-potential and pioneering resource efficiency projects that are capable of accelerating the green transition to a circular economy.
ExoFund I
Established a maritime special purpose entity to research, develop and
patent an innovative and ground-breaking hull system for high-performance
craft. In doing so, it has considered fuel efficiency and the creation of a
‘fit for purpose’ operating platform for potentially heavier, early generation
renewable or clean energy propulsion systems.
ExoFund II
Established a materials special purpose entity to research, develop and patent a revolutionary composite material which is capable of being recovered, recycled and reused repeatedly. In doing so, it has considered sustainable manufacturing requirements, superior mechanical properties and ‘end of life’ management.

NEXT-GENERATION SOLUTIONS
ExoHull™
An innovative and ground breaking hull system which revolutionises hydrodynamics for high-performance craft and clean energy propulsion.
In 2018, ExoTechnologies partnered internationally renowned designer, John Moxham. In his illustrious career, he has designed everything from high speed craft for the Special Boat Service (SBS) to the fastest lifeboat in the RNLI, the E-CLASS (Mark 1) and was part of the design team behind the iconic supersonic Hawker Siddley Gnat fighter.
Our revolutionary and patented hull technology fundamentally redefines the way a planing hull interacts with the water. It applies fluid dynamic principles conceived during the development of the XB70 Valkyrie high-altitude bomber to reimagine hull technology and hydrodynamic performance. The patented ‘golden ratio’ and passive hydrodynamic performance modification system were developed to ensure that every craft is intelligently designed for its specific purpose.
From a full-scale prototype stage, this new revolutionary high-performance hull solution has attracted considerable attention from electric, hydrogen and clean energy engine manufacturers, member states of the NATO intergovernmental military alliance, media and industry publications.
DANU™
Breakthrough composite material of exceptional strength capable of being recovered, recycled and reused repeatedly.
In mid-2020, ExoTechnologies acquired 360 Quantillion, an innovative and specialist composite materials research organisation.
This collaboration of advanced composite material expertise and specialist engineering knowledge has developed a pioneering resource efficiency technology called DANUTM which is capable of accelerating the green transition to circularity for composite material used in maritime craft, ballistic resistance, wind turbine blades, automotive solutions, aircraft construction, food processing etc…
So far, the development team has already produced a full-scoped maritime craft solution and ballistic resistant solution ready for scalable production to commercialise this novel technology.

Exo Products
These are some of our revolutionary products.
ExoWind™
A high strength, recyclable composite material with hybrid characteristics of both glass fibre and carbon fibre
ExoWind™ exhibits shared hybrid characteristics of both glass fibre and carbon fibre. That said, ExoWind™ is considerably stronger than glass fibre.
ExoMarine™
A super tough, hydrophobic composite that uses the same infusion bagging build methods as GRP and Carbon but is stronger and lighter than GRP as well as recyclable
ExoMarine™ presents a ‘fit for purpose’ and viable solution in response to this global ecological crisis by providing an accelerated green transition to a circular economy for the maritime industry.
ExoHull™
An innovative and ground breaking hull system which revolutionises hydrodynamics for high-performance craft and clean energy propulsion.
