AZO Materials:NEW RECYCLABLE DANU COMPOSITE IMPROVES POWERBOAT PERFORMANCE.

The Scotland-based Ultimate Boat Company (UBC) has introduced DANU, a composite material designed as a sustainable alternative to glass-reinforced plastic. DANU is not only lighter and stronger but also eco-friendly, being made from styrene-free resin and sustainable fibers. It can be easily recycled without losing its strength, making it an ideal choice for various industries beyond shipbuilding, including automotive and wind power. UBC has utilized DANU to develop groundbreaking hull technology for powerboats, enhancing speed, stability, and comfort. Additionally, DANU is expected to play a significant role in the 2024 Summer Olympic Games in Paris, where an Olympic 32 sailing yacht, based on DANU’s lightweight and superior strength, is set to debut as a sustainable and recyclable vessel, aligning with the IOC’s commitment to carbon neutrality.
