ExoTechnologies, a leading maritime green technology startup, is unveiling the world’s first fully recyclable, high-performance workboat range. The initial commercial vessel, delivered to Police Scotland, is constructed from ExoTechnologies’ innovative DANUTM composite material, known for its resource efficiency. This marks a significant breakthrough in boat building, replacing fibreglass entirely and offering superior mechanical strength. With an investment of £7 million in research and development, ExoTechnologies aims to create 300 jobs at its Glasgow boatyard within five years. The collaboration with Police Scotland allows for the co-design of purpose-built boats, addressing operational needs and sustainability goals. Designed by renowned chief designer John Moxham, the high-performance boat features ExoHullTM technology, enhancing handling and seakeeping capabilities. This initiative represents a green transition pathway within the maritime industry and underscores ExoTechnologies’ commitment to global growth and sustainability.
