ExoTechnologies, based in the Isle of Man and owner of Glasgow’s Ultimate Boats, has announced a strategic partnership with Arizona’s RONN Motor Group, a leader in hydrogen-powered automotive solutions. The collaboration is focused on developing hydrogen electric propulsion systems for a new generation of high-performance watercraft suited for both commercial and military applications. The initiative began with the signing of a Letter of Intent (LoI), which sets the stage for Ultimate Boats to manufacture these advanced vessels in Scotland.
Last year, Ultimate Boats made significant strides toward sustainability by launching its first fully recyclable workboat, made from the patented DANU composite material, for Police Scotland. Shane Mugan, CEO of ExoTechnologies, expressed great enthusiasm about the partnership, highlighting a shared commitment to decarbonization and the development of clean hydrogen electric propulsion systems that promise to revolutionize marine technology.
